RICHLAND -- DeSales dropped a tight match at Liberty Christian on Tuesday, 25-23, 29-27, 25-23.
"We led in every match," said DeSales head coach Lori Blanc. "We just couldn't finish them off and we let them get on some runs late in sets."
The Irish were led by seven kills from Abby Larue and six kills from Stephanie Ferrel. Both players also had perfect service nights.
Chantel Blanc added 24 assists as DeSales fell to 1-1 in league play.
"It was a tough loss, but hopefully it's something we can build on," Blanc said. "We played well, but this is the kind of match we hope we can learn from."
