Norma I. Rosenkranz of Walla Walla passed away Sept. 16, 2010, at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center in Walla Walla at the age of 74 years. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at
11 a.m. at the Mt. View Cemetery in Walla Walla. Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospital or the charity of choice in care of the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater, OR 97862.
Norma I. Rosenkranz was born on Oct. 6, 1935, the daughter of Oscar and Roma (Davis) Kiel in Joseph, Ore. She attended school in Joseph and graduated with the class of 1953. Norma then attended beauty
school in Lewiston, Idaho, and worked as a beauty operator for many years. She later went to work for Old Stone Mortgage as a loan inspector. On July 10, 1973, she married Russell "Rosy" Rosenkranz in Waitsburg. She enjoyed reading and collecting antiques. Her husband preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include her sister, Erma Stanton of Pendleton; step-sons, Bryan Rosenkranz of Olympia, and Kim Rosenkranz of Longview, Wash.; niece, Toni Jones of Cove, Ore.; great-niece, Alannah Jones;
great-nephew, Hunter Jones; five step-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband and brother, Max Kiel, preceded her in death.
