  • Matthew T. Schack, 20, 17 S. Hussey St., was sentenced Sept. 13 on one count each unlawful imprisonment-domestic violence and violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-possessing less than 40 grams marijuana. The court dismissed two other counts. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $123.20 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 fine, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fees, 90 days in the county jail, credit for 71 days served, 24 months community custody. On Aug. 30 Schack pleaded guilty to knowingly and unlawfully restraining a family or household member and unlawful possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana on July 4.

  • Blanca E. Escobedo, 45, 615 N.W. Fourth Ave, Milton-Freewater, was sentenced Sept. 13 on one count second-degree identity theft. The sentence included restitution of $6,371.88, $200 in court costs, $121.60 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 biological fee, 39 days in the county jail, credit for 39 days served, 24 months community custody. On Aug. 30 Escobedo pleaded guilty to knowingly using or transferring a means of identification of another person with intent to commit a crime to obtain an aggregate total of value not exceeding $1,500 between Jan. 1, 2008 and May 10, 2010.
