MILTON-FREEWATER - Mac-Hi dropped a three-set Greater Oregon League volleyball match to Baker here Tuesday, 25-7, 25-11, 25-10.
The Pioneers were 23-of-27 serving, and had 18 hits.
Avery Wells, Megan Reed, Jolene Brannan, Meghan Kimball and Nicole Richman recorded a kill for Mac-Hi.
"Baker was a tough team," Pioneers coach Kaila Rodighiero said. "They did some things that we didn't. They tipped and hit the ball in places that weren't being covered, and they served to a player that just came into the game. They played with good strategies and they thought ahead.
"I believe we could have competed a little bit better tonight," she said. "We made small errors that costs us points, and games like these happen. All we can do is learn from it and adjust practices to work on certain things until we don't get them wrong. We may have lost, but in losing there's only lessons to be learned and we will make use of that."
Mac-Hi travels to Ontario Saturday.
