RICHLAND - Dayton's trip to Richland sent the Bulldogs home after a three-set loss to Liberty Christian Tuesday.
The Bulldogs, now 1-2 on the season, dropped to the Patriots, 25-21, 27-25, 25-21.
"We lacked motivation, we made too many errors and we did not play consistently," said Dayton head coach Shannon Turner.
Kayla Turner led the Bulldogs with six kills, nine assists and three blocks. McKayla Bickelhaupt had nine kills, Amanda Mountain was 10-for-10 at the serving line with six kills and three blocks, Nicole Lambert had 15 digs, Shelby Smith had three blocks, Jessica Tate was 11-for-11 with nine assists and Sarah Mascall was 13-for-13 with two aces.
The Bulldogs host Walla Walla Valley Academy at 5 p.m. tonight.
"We just need to play as a team and with enthusiasm," Turner said. "They definitely have everything it takes - they just weren't ‘on' last night."
