WALLA WALLA -- A plant sale will be held Saturday at the native plant demonstration garden at the Blue Mountain Humane Society, 7 E. George St.
The Native Plant Society's sale, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., includes natives and other drought-tolerant plants.
Fall is the best time to plant native plants, which after being established, need less water than conventional landscaping and also don't need pesticides and herbicides.
