BREMERTON, Wash. - Walla Walla Community College's Dona Dunovant is tied for first place on the women's side after the first round of at a NWAACC league golf match hosted by Olympic College at Gold Mountain's Olympic course Sunday, and the Warrior men stand in third place as a team headed into today's round at McCormick Woods.
The men counted the back nine scores as darkness shortened their round Sunday. Bellevue and Spokane stood at 4-under 140, followed by WWCC with 144, Olympic and Skagit Valley tied at 148, Green River 156, Southwest Oregon 158, Columbia Basin 162 and Treasure Valley 163.
On the men's side, Spokane's Alex Pound and Andrew Poller and Bellevue's Tyler McDoughal were tied at 2-under 34 after Sunday's nine-hole round.
WWCC's Max Levitch followed at 1-under 35. Other scores for the Warriors were Cory Spencer and Dakota Hull at even-par 36, Brady Fay 37, Ryan Hodl 42 and Drew Morgan 44.
On the women's side, Dunovant was tied with Spokane's Alexa Bell with an 18-hole 78.
Warrior Jaime Robison shot a 111 Sunday.
Spokane led the women's team field at 247, followed by Bellevue at 265, Grays Harbor at 276, CBC 278, SW Oregon 289, and Treasure Valley 321.
Today's second round teed off this morning.
