Three teens hurt in rollover wreck Sunday night near Walla Walla

Three teens were involved in a rollover crash Sunday east of Walla Walla.

Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 4900 block of Russell Creek Road at 9:54 p.m. Kristen Matchett. 17, of Walla Walla, was driving around a curve in the road when she fishtailed and over-corrected, said Capt. Bill White.

"It appears they were (driving) under the posted speed limit," he said.

The driver's action flipped the car several times, according to the accident report.

Matchett was ejected from the vehicle. She and passenger Marky Hill, 15, of Lowden, were transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

More information on their condition was not available at press time today.

Richard Webb, 17, of Walla Walla was treated at the scene.
