POMEROY - Pomeroy came out on top of Touchet in a Class 1B volleyball match Tuesday.

The Pirates won, 25-18, 25-14 and 25-15.

Kristen Warner led the Indians with three kills. Jose Sewell had three kills and one block and Taylor Jasperson has six assists.

"We need to work on attitude," said Touchet coach Stephanie Paulson. "They're letting that get the best of them and taking themselves out of the game before it's over."

Kindsey Bott led the way for Pomeroy with 11 kills and Melissa Bartlow, Delaney Monahan and Sadie Slaybaugh all had seven kills.

"I like the way we are spreading the ball around," said Pomeroy head coach Bruce Crossfield. "Our back row needs to work better, but overall we are doing a good job."

Sydni Gromsen led Pomeroy, which now stands at 11-4 overall and 5-1 in league play, with 22 assists.

Touchet (0-6) hosts Tekoa-Oakesdale-Rosalia at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. It's also Touchet's Homecoming match.

Pomeroy next travels to St. John-Endicott Thursday.
