Spaces remain for hunter course that starts Thursday

WALLA WALLA -- The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife has approximately 25 seats immediately available for the Hunter Education Course that begins Thursday.

Registration is done online and will be accepted until the class begins at 8 a.m. The classroom portion will be all day Thursday and Fridayfrom 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and the field and range segment will take approximately a half-day, Saturday.

Anyone who wants to hunt in the state, born after Jan. 1, 1972, must complete this course, according to Gerald Taylor, certified instructor and course director.
