Make a decoy, throw a spear at Tamástslikt Cultural Institute

MISSION -- Tamstslikt Cultural Institute, 72789 Highway 331, will observe Oregon Archaeology Month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday with a one-day archaeology celebration.

Visitors will have the opportunity to throw spears at targets using an ancient tool, the atlatl, behind the museum and to create their own take-away tule duck decoys.

Instructors Tom Bailor and Lloyd Barkley will give hands-on instruction to visitors on the use of ancient tools and media. Tamstslikt will serve free pizza in the lobby at noon.
