DAYTON -- A public presentation to raise awareness of the problems of domestic violence will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Liberty Theater.
The evening will focus on the effects of domestic violence on a family and will also cover ways individuals can advocate for victims and how to help someone they suspect is in an abusive relationship.
The correlation between domestic violence and substance abuse will also be discussed. In addition parents and teens can get tips on safe dating practices and how to recognize signs of an unhealthy relationship.
The presentation is titled "What's Love Got to Do with It?" It is sponsored by the Columbia County Coalition for Youth and Families. It is free and open to the public. For more information call 382-1511.
