BOARDMAN - Weston-McEwen's baseball doubleheader with Horizon Christian on Saturday was moved to the campus of Riverside High School due to poor field conditions on the TigerScots' diamond.

Each team departed the neutral site with one victory. W-M won the opener, 3-2, and Horizon Christian prevailed in the nightcap, 6-0.

Game one was tied 2-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth. Jerad Croswell led off with a walk and was lifted for pinch-runner Bobby McAllister.

McAllister stole both second and third, and scored what proved to be the game-winning run on a single to right field by Calvin Thacker.

Dallas Reich kept the TigerScots close with five respectable innings on the mound. Matt McGill threw the final two frames to notch the win.

In the second game, W-M managed just two hits.
