Xplosion goes 5-1 at Ice Breaker Fastpitch tournament


TRI-CITIES - The Walla Walla Xplosion '00 finished with a 5-1 record in the NSA Ice Breaker Fastpitch Tournament held in Tri-Cities over the weekend.

The Xplosion finished tied for the best record out of eight teams in the 10-and-under B division.

On Saturday, the Xplosion opened up with a 14-2 victory over the Moses Lake Rattlers '99.

Also on Saturday, they beat the Acers,13-1, the Tri-City Fuzion, 16-0, and Team Faith, 11-3.

On Sunday, the Xplosion lost to the Idaho Wildfire, 7-2, and then finished up with a victory over the Washington Angels, 15-3.

Xplosion players are Kamryn Coleman, Lauren Hoe, Faith Hoe, Teisha Payne, Madelyn Thomas, Bow Maiden, Alison Skurski, Courtney Meliah, Paris Orchard, Mikaela Forcum and Meghan Yenney. Coaches are Andy Coleman, Kaela Hoe, and Chris Meliah.

The Xplosion, now 10-1, next play in the Balloon Stampede Invite in Walla Walla on May 14-15.
