WALLA WALLA - DeSales' boys came out on top of a four-way golf match at Veterans Memorial here Tuesday.
The Irish boys won with a team score of 356 on 18 holes, led by Ryan Baumgart's medal-round of 78.
Dayton's boys were second at 278. Tri-Cities Prep was third at 283 and Liberty-Christian was fourth with 297.
"We had a pretty nice day," said DeSales coach Lon Olson. "The luck of the leprechaun has continued to follow us."
Jerod Konen scored an 81 and Bryce Scott had a 95 to round out DeSales' counting scores.
Dayton's Dain Henderson had a 97, Jarron Button had a 92 and Dakota Baker, a Waitsburg-Prescott student who golfs with the Dayton team, had an 89.
Tri-Cities Prep won the girls' round with a 183, with the Patriots' Alexis Armijo claiming the medalist at 50.
Dayton's girls were second with a 183 and DeSales was third with 211. Liberty Christian's girls team was incomplete.
Dayton's Abby Chapman carded a 55, Molly Payne had 63 and Taylor Brown had a 69.
For DeSales, Ashton Montgomery had a 59, Alyssa Lyons carded a 73 and Grace Burrows had a 79.
Non-counting scores for the DeSales boys were Ben Midema's 58 and Andrew Hayunga's 50 on nine holes.
For Dayton, Tim Ihle stroked a 130 on 18, while Andra Fayette had a 66 and Mohannan Owiwi had a 61 on nine holes.
For the girls, Rachel Heitstuman had an 86 for the Irish.
The Irish travel to Columbia Point in Richland for a match with Liberty Christian Thursday.
