January 11, 1920 - April 8, 2011

Mae V. Gonzales, 91, of Eagle Springs Specialty Care passed away on April 8, 2011.
Mae was born to Natividad and Maria (Martinez) Valdez in Wichita, Kansas. She
came to Washington State in the early 1940's and in 1968 she moved to Walla Walla
with her husband and family. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church
and an active member of the Charismatic and Crusillo movement. Mae was a Homemaker
for the State and taught 4-H through the County Extension. She was an excellent seamstress and cook, had a
passion for working in her garden, working for the Lord and saying the rosary.

Her husband, Lupe J. Gonzales, and her son, Joseph Mark Gonzales
and great grandson, Vincent Gwinn preceded Mrs. Gonzales in death.
She is survived by daughters Rita M. Amaro, Mary Ann Gonzales
and Monica M. Gonzales-Conradt and her son Lupe Ray Gonzales.
She is also survived by her brothers Salvador and Gorgie Valdez and
sisters Carmen Ochoa, Josie Cerna, Belen Foltz and Marie Zaragoza.
Additionally, she is also survived by six grandchildren, six great
grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011
from 3:00 p.m. until after the Rosary at the Herring Groseclose
Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. The Rosary will
be recited on Wednesday, April 13; 2011 at 6:00 PM at the Herring
Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday,
April 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with
Father Patrick Kerst, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mountain
View Cemetery. A reception will be held at St. Patrick's reception
hall immediately following the graveside service.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic
Church, Blue Mountain Humane Society or Walla Walla Community
Hospice in Mae's name through the Herring Groseclose Funeral
