Marie Louise Stiller, was born in Lewiston, Idaho, on Feb. 27, 1931, to A. Dorman and Charlotte Johnson. Stewart, the oldest brother, died when Marie was 2. Her younger brother, Lynn, was special to Marie. At the age of 4, she and her family relocated to Walla Walla, where Marie's father received treatment for tuberculosis. Some of Marie's favorite memories were of lively dinner table discussions with her father.

In 1949, Marie graduated from Walla Walla High School, where she met the love of her life, Jim Stiller. The two were married when Jim had nearly completed his service in the U.S. Air Force. Jeanne, their
first child, arrived in 1952. With wholehearted support from Marie, Jim enrolled at Washington State University. Bruce and Kay (nicknamed "Curly-Tops") were born in Pullman. After college graduation, Jim went to work for Lamb-Weston. The family lived in Milton-Freewater until 1972, when they moved to Beaverton.

At age 4, their daughter Kay passed away from leukemia. Rod and Tom arrived a few years later. Marie was a devoted wife and mother, involved in her children's activities and served on the Tum-A-Lum Elementary School Board. Marie enjoyed taking classes at Whitman College. She was an avid reader with a passion for social justice, world affairs and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Marie is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Jeanne Myhre and husband Richard; sons, Bruce, Rod and Tom Stiller and wife Cheryl Stiller; grandchildren, Carrie and John Myhre and Ellie and Ashley
