PASCO - DeSales picked up two lopsided baseball victories in Southeast 2B play Tuesday.

The Irish swept Tri-Cities Prep, 28-3 and 22-2, in two five-inning games.

"They have a young team and they're not very experienced," DeSales coach Kim Cox said of the Jaguars. "They have a ways to go as far as recording outs, but our kids swung the ball well."

The Irish had 40 hits on the day, led by Logan Hoeft, Joe Duehn, Tommy Gregg and Travis Haen's five each.

Mata and Gregg had three RBI each on the day.

Tri-Cities Prep notched four hits in the first game and three in the second to go with their five runs on the day.

"Our pitchers did pretty well," Cox said.

The wins move DeSales to 13-2 overall and 5-1 in league. They travel to Waitsburg-Prescott next Tuesday for a doubleheader.
