MOSES LAKE - Wa-Hi handed Moses Lake for a 6-1 girls tennis loss Wednesday afternoon.
The Blue Devils swept in singles, with the only team loss coming at No. 3 doubles.
"The girls played well as a team and individuals," said Wa-Hi coach Keven Peck. "It was good to be back to our winning ways with the singles players."
No. 1 Tiana Cummings, No. 2 Claire Konen and No. 4 Mary Felt all topped their opponents in two big sets.
No. 3 Rachel Schueller pulled out a three-set win.
"She lost some momentum in the second set, but Rachel showed a lot of determination in trying to get her game back on track," Peck said. "She never gave up and it paid off."
No. 1 doubles team Kristine Leier and Chantel Desjarlais and No. 2 team Allison Mehn and Rosa Tobin also topped their Moses Lake opponents in two sets.
"It was important for us to bounce back from two tough weekend losses," Peck said. "The girls used to experience they gained over the weekend to become better players. I'm very proud of how they responded to that adversity."
