  • Tyson G. Geiss, 33, 523 Hope St., was sentenced July 18 on one count possession of a prescription drug without a prescription. The sentence included restitution of $45, $122.70 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $25 victim assessment fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, 30 days in the county jail. On July 18 Geiss pleaded guilty to knowingly and unlawfully possessing a legend drub without a prescription on Sept 25.

  • Tina L. Taylor, 41, 410 N. Third Ave., was sentenced Aug. 1 on two counts violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act-subsequent delivery of dihydrocodeinone within 1,000 feet of a school bus stop as designated by the school district. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $250 jury demand fee, $81.70 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fee, 74 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections, credit for 154 days served, 12 months community custody. On June 28 Taylor pleaded guilty to subsequent delivery of dihydrocodeinone within 1,000 feet of a school bus stop as designated by the school district on Nov. 16 and Dec. 14.

  • Delbert D. McCarty, Jr. 53, 114 E. Alder St., was sentenced Aug. 1 on one count third-degree assault. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 90 days in the county jail, credit for 86 days served, 12 months community custody. On July 13 McCarty pleaded guilty to causing bodily harm to another by means of a weapon, instrument or other thing likely to produce bodily harm by hitting that person on the head and pulling hair, between May 6 and 7.

  • Larry L. Odoms, 69, 1008 Parallel Road, Milton-Freewater, was sentenced Aug. 1 on one count first-degree possession of stolen property. The court dismissed two other counts. The sentence included restitution of $9,531.55, $200 in court costs, $25 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 biological fee, 30 days in the county jail. On July 5 Odoms pleaded guilty to knowingly possessing stolen property, metal wire with a value greater than $5,000, and withheld the property from the true owner on Feb. 7.
