WALLA WALLA -- One man remained hospitalized this morning for treatment of injuries he suffered in a rollover crash about three miles east of here on U.S. Highway 12.

Jordan Nevin, 25, was listed in satisfactory condition at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

The Washington State Patrol said in a news release that Nevin, of Waitsburg, was a passenger in a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup heading east at about 3:10 a.m.

The vehicle, driven by Caleb E. Fry, 21, also of Waitsburg, drifted off the roadway to the right, according to the State Patrol. Fry then reportedly overcorrected, the vehicle crossed the road, rolled and landed on its side on the westbound shoulder.

Nevin and Fry were transported by ambulance to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, where Nevin was stabilized and transferred to Kadlec.

Fry was treated and released. Neither was wearing a seat belt, according to the State Patrol.
