A few words of deep fears concerning the City Council vote to bring in "distilleries to the Walla Walla area."
While it is true that the wine industry is bringing much needed money into the Walla Walla area, it also will be the cause of many serious personal problems for Walla Walla's social and law enforcement services.
While beer and wine and vodka all can each produce alcoholism, each kind requires less of it to accomplish the undesirable effect.
I wish to add my vote, along with what must be thousands of others, decrying what will surely be a heavy social and law enforcement problem in the coming years.
