LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Resurfacing of highway was a waste

All three of the people -- Sen. Mike Hewitt, Rep. Maureen Walsh and Rep. Terry Nealey -- who represent this locality in Olympia voted for the Transportation Budget (House Bill 1175). According to Freedom Foundation, "Depending on how you look at it, the Transportation Budget is critical infrastructure, a jobs program or a bundle of pork projects. The bill increases spending."

I assume the Transportation Budget provided for the resurfacing of the highway in this area which, in my opinion, was unnecessary and frivolous. The money wasted on the highway project could have been put to better use.

It's well known how students and their parents are struggling with the cost of education.

All the insanity isn't in Washington, D.C. There's plenty in Washington state.
