MILTON-FREEWATER -- A city man has been arrested on suspicion of inappropriately touching children at the city Aquatic Center.

Manuel Dejesus Camarena-Villanueva, 26, of 650 Pierce St., was arrested Monday for investigation of two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and three counts of harassment.

In a release, Police Chief Doug Boedigheimer said police were called on Aug. 14 after an adult male was reported inappropriately touching the bottoms of two children, one male and one female, at the city aquatic center. Camarena-Villanueva was taken into custody after being interviewed by the investigating officer at the Police Department.

First-degree sexual abuse is a Measure 11 offense with a mandatory 75-month sentence upon conviction, Boedigheimer said.
