WALLA WALLA -- Police are investigating an apparent attempted robbery at the Medicine Shoppe, 25 S. Colville St., early this afternoon.

Police said a male approached the back door of the pharmacy about 12:30 p.m., donned some type of mask and entered.

He reportedly said something about wanting methadone, then ran out when someone associated with the store hit the panic button.

Apparently no weapon was displayed and police don't believe anything was taken.

Taylor Moore, a witness who was outside, said he saw the man leave the front of the shop. Moore told the Union-Bulletin he followed the suspect to a vehicle in the Macy's parking lot and was able to provide the license number to authorities.

A possible suspect was located shortly afterward.

We will post more details when they become available.
