Umatilla County Sheriff

Highway 204 near Rommel Lane, within last week. Cabin broken into and items taken: two snowmobile suits, bear skin rug and boots.

Collision

WW County Sheriff

200 block of Adair Road, Burbank, Wednesday overnight. Hit-and-run of single vehicle that was side wiped.

Robberies

WW Police

The Medicine Shoppe, 25 S. Colville St., Thursday 12:28 p.m. According to police reports, Benjamin Garcia Jr., 32, entered store and demanded narcotics. Witnesses reported seeing Garcia leave scene in a vehicle and took his license plate number. Garcia arrested later that afternoon at his residence.

Benjamin Garcia Jr., 32, 719 N. Eighth Ave. Charge: investigation of second-degree attempted robbery.

Jose Manuel Tapia Ceballos, 42, 27 Campo Loop Road. Charge: investigation of driving under the influence.

East Umatilla County Rural Fire

Winn Road near Price Ranch Road, Wednesday 10:21 p.m. Wheat stubble fire. No injuries or structural damage reported. Mutual aid from Athena Fire Dept. and Dept. of Forestry. Contained about 2 a.m. Cause unknown. Acreage unreported.
