WALLA WALLA -- Many Walla Walla County offices will be closed Friday for an unpaid furlough day.
The closures will include the Treasurer's Office, Auditor's Office, Assessor's Office, county commissioners, Public Health, Human Services, Personnel and Risk Management, Public Records Officer and WSU Extension..
Property tax payments can be deposited in the drop box located in the alleyway between the courthouse and the County Jail.
Offices that will remain open will include Superior Court, Prosecuting Attorney, County Clerk and Public Works Department. No emergency services will be affected including crisis and residential mental health services.
The furlough days were adopted due to budgetary constraints. A complete list of scheduled furlough days is available at www.co.walla-walla.wa.us.
All county offices and departments will also be closed on Monday for the Labor Day holiday.
