WALLA WALLA - The Walla Walla Community College women cruised through both of their matches in the Warrior Classic in Walla Walla this weekend, first routing Seattle Community College 89-45 Friday, then beating Linn-Benton, 67-53, on Saturday for a sweep.

Sophomore Tai Jensen played a big role inside Saturday when the Warriors went to a "high-low" offense because their outside shooters weren't hitting.

Center Hailey Felgenhauer was also a big contributor, coach Bobbi Hazeltine said. Felgenhauer finished with 8-of-12 shooting from the free throw line and had 14 points.

Freshman Michelle Seitz had 13 points and seven boards.

The Warriors were down by 10 points at halftime and made a comeback to get the win.

WWCC went on a 10-0 run, to open the second half and went onto win by a margin of 14 points.

Hazeltine noted that the defense keyed the win and helped to jump start the offense.

"It was nice to see our team get down, be challenged and then respond to comeback to win the game," Hazeltine said.

During the first half of Friday's match, WWCC had a strong lead and kept the momentum going to win by a staggering 44 points. Leading the Warriors in scoring was sophomore Tai Jensen with 19 points. Jensen made 78 percent of her free throws and was WWCC's leading rebounder with 10.

The Warriors play again today against Clark at home at 1 p.m.
