Walla Walla County library board to discuss city contract

WALLA WALLA -- The Walla Walla County Rural Library District board will hold two work sessions and its annual meeting this week.

Board members are expected to discuss a proposed contract with the city of Walla Walla during one work session and at the meeting, said Punkey Adams, executive director.

The first work session will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Columbia Room at the Walla Walla County Department of Human Services, 1520 Kelly Place.

The annual meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Burbank Library, 875 Lake Road, in Burbank.

Agenda items will include setting a fee for non-resident library cards and action on an investment agreement with the County Treasurer.

Trustees also will act on the 2012 pay schedule, elect officers and recommend a trustee appointment to the Walla Walla County commissioners.

The meeting will be adjourned at noon and trustees will move to the Collegium Cafe, 3525 E. A St., in Pasco for a 1 p.m. afternoon work session

Board members will discuss strategic planning with library consultant Ruth Metz. No action will be taken. Information is available at 527-3284.
