James Edwards Jr.
Dec. 29, 1939 - Nov. 22, 2011

Jim was born in Newulm, Minn, to James Edwards and Lorretta Kretsch Edwards. They moved to Walla Walla, where Jim started grade school and continued to graduate from Walla Walla High School.

Jim married Janice Cearley in 1957. He worked in the grocery business and a franchise in Frito Lay. He was also a glass repairman, auto salesman and carpenter. Jim was a self-taught carpenter who built a couple of homes and helped build and repair homes for friends and family. Carpentry was his love. He has probably hammered a nail in many Walla Walla, Oregon and Olympia homes.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Edwards and wife Rhonda Edwards, Darren Edwards and wife Deana; grandchildren, Adam Edwards and wife Kelsey Edwards, Blaid Edwards, Taelor Hack, Bailey Edwards; and two sister in-laws, Doris Day, Barbara Chertok and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James; mother, Lorretta; brothers, John, Rodger, Mike; and wife, Janice.

We are forever grateful to have had Jim in our lives and there was no one his heart did not touch. We have learned from his skills and loyalty to his family and friends.

We will miss you and love you always, Dad, Grandpa, and brother. xxxx
