Walla Walla man injured in wreck in Rochester, Wash.


Vincent Thorp, 19, of Walla Walla was injured in a two-vehicle collision near Rochester, Wash., that claimed the life of one man and injured two others.

Mark Stone, 43, of Rochester, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 12 when his van struck a guard rail and then crossed into the westbound lane and struck a car containing Thorp and two others, according to the Washington State Patrol. Stone was declared dead at the scene.

The other driver, Carmon Gillespie, 19, of Chehalis, Wash., was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Passengers Trevor Duncan-Hostick, 23 of Oakville, Wash., and Thorp were taken to a Centralia hospital.
