A downtown Walla Walla shop known for frozen treats is now offering something to warm your soul on a cold day.
Peach & Pear frozen yogurt shop has expanded its product line to include more than 30 loose-leaf teas. All the classics are there, as well as a line of teas focused on blends of fruits. White and red tea are also available. All the tea is organic, said Peach & Pear owner Beth Gennette said.
"I have the kettle on so we can always taste," she said in an announcement about the changes.
In addition to the teas, the shop at 15 S. First Ave. is also carrying Stonewall Kitchen bakery mixes, jams and marmalades -- all the ingredients for a full-fledged tea party.
Gennette said she continues to create new fruit sauces and fruit-forward desserts, including crepes and housemade biscotti to savor with a cup of tea. As always, the shop carries European-style frozen yogurt, which is known for being less sweet. It also offers cobblers, trifles and parfaits.
Peach & Pear operates daily. Winter hours are 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information visit peachandpearwallawalla.com or call 522-0322.
If you've been looking for water testing services since the closure of the county's Drinking Water Lab earlier this year, you could take the plunge with a new operation in College Place.
