WAITSBURG - Waitsburg-Prescott swept a pair of non-league boys basketball games from Powder Valley over the weekend.

W-P went on the road Saturday for a 60-48 triumph after winning at home on Friday night, 53-33.

Zach Bartlow proved to be a beast in Saturday's triumph with game highs of 30 points and 13 rebounds.

"Zach did pretty much whatever a coach would want," Scott said. "He played good defense. He took the ball to the rim. He's a tough, physical kid."

Bartlow scored 15 of his points in the third quarter.

"He just buried them single-handedly," Scott said. "It was quite the performance."

Dustin Wooderchak led W-P in Friday's win with 15 points and Bartlow pulled down 11 rebounds.

"The game at our place should have been closer," Scott said."They couldn't make a free throw to save their life (7-for-25). That's not going to win very many games.

"They are a good team," Scott said of Powder Valley. "They have good players. This is part of a quality pre-season schedule."

W-P plays at Riverside on Tuesday.
