PILOT ROCK - Dillon Britton scored 18 points, and Demarcus Bowe 17, to lead the Rockets over Mac-Hi Friday night.

The Rockets jumped to a 44-20 lead at intermission and extended the lead for a 73-37 win over the visiting Pioneers.

"They (Pilot Rock) played a good first half," Mac-Hi coach Curtis Carlson said. "It comes down to me not getting these guys (Mac-Hi) ready to play. If our guys are ready, we are playing good defense and have the right mind set."

Francisco Flores led the Pioneers with seven points. Mac-Hi hit five of its seven free throw attempts, but committed 33 turnovers in dropping to 0-4.

"Anytime you make free throws, it's always good," Carlson said. "We're playing hard and finishing the game no matter what the score is."

Mac-Hi travels to Riverside in Boardman Friday.
