WALLA WALLA -- Walla Walla County commissioners Monday approved resolutions to set the county's property, road and emergency medical services tax levies.

The resolutions called for zero increases in the county's property tax and road levy rates and an increase the EMS levy by 1 percent.

All resolutions passed unanimously.

Commissioners Perry Dozier, Greg Tompkins and Gregg Loney had agreed on the levy rates at their Dec. 5 meeting and instructed the clerk of the board to prepare resolutions for approval Monday.

The commissioners agreed to hold off approval of the county's 2012 budget until their Dec. 19 meeting. The action came after discussion with Sheriff John Turner and members of his staff regarding requested increases in the Sheriff's 2012 budget.

In other matters, commissioners Monday approved:

Amendments to the county's 2011 budget

An interfund loan from the county investment pool to the county fairgrounds for property acquisition.
