WALLA WALLA -- The Blue Mountain Humane Society, Walla Walla Area Crime Watch and Rising Sun Clubhouse will each get $5,000 from the Abajian Foundation of Sharing.
The three agencies were the top vote-getters in a communitywide giveaway organized by Abajian Toyota/Scion and the Toyota Motor Co.
The local dealership partnered with its parent company to offer $15,000 to local organizations chosen via Facebook by the public. The Blue Mountain Humane Society was the top vote-getter with 368 votes. Second was Walla Walla Area Crime Watch with 305 votes. Rising Sun Clubhouse received the third-highest number of votes with 296.
