BOARDMAN, Ore. - Waitsburg-Prescott dominated Riverside in every fact of the game here Tuesday night in rolling to a 61-25 girls non-league prep basketball victory.

"We were a little sloppy in our last game, so this was a good way to bounce back," said W-P coach Jerry Baker, who saw his team improve to 4-0 in its final test before opening Southeast 2B District play Friday at Dayton. W-P is also on the road Saturday at Walla Walla Valley Academy in a district counter.

Waitsburg-Prescott connected on 25-of-56 field goal attempts and limited the Pirates to 10-for-43 shooting from the floor. W-P also dominated the backboards 50-25 and forced Riverside into 41 turnovers.

"We were very aggressive on defense," Baker said. "We also passed the ball very well and did a good job of taking care of the ball. Our free-throw shooting (10-for-21) was a little off, but other than that everything went well."

Dionaa Baker finished with game-high totals of 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead W-P. Ronnie Hulce added 15 points and Kristin Potter was a third Waitsburg-Prescott player in double figures with 13 points.
