WALLA WALLA -- Despite a fleeting glimmer of blue skies Thursday, a burn ban for all of Walla Walla County will continue through next week.

The county is one of seven in Eastern Washington under the ban, which is due to stagnant air conditions.

According to the Washington Department of Ecology, the ban will continue through at least Tuesday morning.

The ban applies to all outdoor burning and use of uncertified wood-burning stoves, fireplaces and inserts unless they are a home's only source of heat.
