SEATTLE - It was war at the "Battle in Seattle" Saturday night, with the Walla Walla Community men exchanging shots with Seattle Community College in the Seattle CC Crossover Tournament.

The Warriors won.

WWCC's Hunter Hahn scored 26 points off the bench on 6-of-14 3-pointers, 10-of-20 overall, to lead the Warriors to an 84-81 victory in the semifinals round and on to the championship today at 2 p.m, against perrenial powerhouse Bellevue.

For 30 minutes, however, WWCC struggled.

"It was a nightmare, we did not play very well," WWCC coach Jeff Reinland said. "It was Seattle's home floor and their tournament so they came out pretty fired up.

"We were up 22-9, then they came roaring back," he said. "They were up 19 with 10 minutes left, it looked like were done. We weren't making any shots - we were really flat.

That's when Hahn and the Warriors finally started hitting their shots, leaving their fans cheering and their coach feeling like he was on a roller coaster.

"The first 30 minutes of the game we couldn't make a basket, it was horrible," Reinland said. "We took 33 3's, finally they just started going in. We hit just enough to win the game. It was a great game for fans to watch, it wasn't a great game to coach."

The Warriors improve to 7-2 on the season and face a stiff test in Bellevue today.

"They just have a lot of talent," Reinland said. "They've been a really well coached team for years. They're well coached and they play well. When you have talent and good coaching, it leads to success.

"We're going to have a few tricks up our sleeve, we'll see how they handle it," he said. "It's going to be a test though, that's for sure."

Dylan Radliff was also hot from deep, hitting 5-9 from 3 and 6-13 overall for 22 points.

On Friday night, WWCC punished Green River 81-66 and were led in scoring by Radliff and Dallen Bills with 23 points apiece.
