VANCOUVER, Wash. - Leslie Stillar's 24 points and eight 3-pointers proved to be the difference Saturday night, as Walla Walla Community College advanced to the championship round of the Clark College Women's Basketball Crossover Tournament after laying waste to the tall timbers of Umpqua Community College, 76-65, in the semifinals.

Despite facing a height disadvantage at every position, the Warriors hit 10-of-23 3-pointers (43 percent) and held the Riverhawks to just 5 3-pointers (36 percent) on the night.

The teams' 2-pointers were almost identical, 28 for Umpqua and 27 for WWCC.

"We ended up with four kids in double figures (Stillar, Pfefferle, Felgenhauer, Jensen), almost five," WWCC coach Bobbi Hazeltine said. "She (Stillar) had four 3's in each half. She's just shooting the ball really well. They played the zone today and we just shot them out of it."

On Friday night, Stillar was again hot, scoring 25 points off of 5-of-12 3-point shooting in WWCC's 66-44 defeat of the Lower Columbia Red Devils. Stillar also had a game-high seven assists. Tai Jensen had 10 points and a game-high 10 boards. Hailey Felgenhauer added 15 points and had eight rebounds.

The Warriors, now 8-2, face Clark College in the championship today at 4 p.m., a team they beat 84-66 Dec. 4.

"But that (having already beaten Clark) doesn't really mean anything at this point," Hazeltine said, "so I guess we'll see."
