WALLA WALLA - Tristan Hobbes will return for his second season as the play-by-play radio broadcaster for the Walla Walla Sweets in 2012.

Hobbes, a native of Utica, N.Y., quickly became a fan favorite as the on-air voice of the Sweets last season. In addition to working as the radio broadcaster for the Sweets, he will also serve as the manager of media relations.

Hobbes is currently serving as an assistant director of athletic communications at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., where he is the primary contact for football, track and baseball. He also assists with the publicity of Bryant's athletic teams, creating media guides, press releases, and other publications.

The Walla Walla Sweets open the 2012 season of West Coast League baseball at 7:05 p.m. June 1 against the Corvallis Knights.
