W-M girls shut down Joseph at Optimus Tournament

LA GRANDE - The Weston-McEwen girls held Joseph to just two points in the first half of their 82-18 victory over the Eagles Wednesday night in the first round of the La Grande Optimus Tournament.

Four TigerScots made it into double figures; Marlen Bodmer, Taylor Rudolph and Molly von Borstel had 12 points each, while Liliana Ponce led W-M with 17 points on the night.

W-M lept out to a 27-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

W-M faces Union tonight at 6 p.m. in the semifinals of the tournament in La Grande.
