First Thursday concert Jan. 5 at St. Paul's

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St. presents the First Thursday concert, 12:15-12:50 p.m. Jan. 5. Debra Bakland of Canadian University College, LaCombe, Alberta, performs on the piano with Lyn Ritz of Walla Walla University playing violin and viola and Amy Dodds of Whitman College playing violin. Pieces by Mozart, Beach, Clarke and Tchaikovsky will be featured.

The performers have requested that donations go to the Blue Mountain Chapter, American Red Cross.

On Feb. 2 the First Thursday concert will feature Josh Melander, violinist, who studies with Susan Pickett.

Women's DVD Bible study at SonBridge starts Jan. 11

COLLEGE PLACE - SonBridge Community Center, 1200 S.E. 12th St., presents a women's DVD Bible study "Living Beyond Yourself" by Christian author and speaker Beth Moore which features the Fruit of the Spirit.

The study classes are noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, starting Jan. 11 and concluding March 14.
