LA GRANDE - Dallas Reich double-doubled with 30 points and 12 rebounds as the Weston-McEwen boys overcame a slow start in the second round of the La Grande Optimist Tournament to take a 63-49 victory over Imbler Thursday night.

With the win, the TigerScots (5-1) advance to the championship round tonight at 7:30 where they will face Echo.

"We got off to a horrible start on both ends of the floor, standing around flat footed," W-M coach Brian Pickard said. "We came out and adjusted at halftime. We did much better in the second half. We had a significant height advantage down low and we did much better getting the ball to them (post players)."

Imbler outcored the TigerScots 12-8 in the first quarter and took a 30-25 lead into the half. After regrouping, W-M held Imbler to just 9 third-quarter points while putting up 20 to rally to a 45-39 to lead. W-M kept their foot on the gas in the fourth, outscoring the Panthers 18-10 to put the win on ice.

Ron Terjeson just missed a double-double and was close to a triple-double, scoring 15 points, grabbing nine boards and racking up seven blocks.

No Panther was able to score in the double digits, with Wesley McDaniel and Kyle Johnson tying at nine points each to lead Imbler.
