POLICE: Two arrested after Walla Walla SWAT raid

FROM A WWPD PRESS RELEASE:

The Emergency Services Unit SWAT Team served a search warrant at the rental property at 123 E. Sumach early this morning and arrested two subjects on drug charges. Debra Lynn Hong, 38, and her husband Baldwin G. Hong, 46, were taken into custody at about 6:15 and transported to the Walla Walla County Jail after being interviewed at the police department.

There were no injuries to officers or the Hongs when the SWAT team forced entry and took them into custody. Detectives from the city's Special Teams Unit conducted a search of the basement apartment, seizing drug paraphernalia and computer equipment.

Baldwin is being held on 1 count of Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine within 1000' of a school bus stop. Debra is being held on 1 count of Delivery of Methamphetamine within 1000' of a school bus stop, and 1 count of Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine.

The arrests are the result of a several week investigation by the Special Teams Unit Drug Detectives.
