A couple who asked for anonymity stopped by the Walla Walla Public Library in November, and donated $50 to a staffer.
"They said that someone gave them $50 and told them to use it if they needed it and if not to pass it along to someone who could use it," said Beth H. Hudson, director.
The couple chose to donate it to the Friends of the Library organization, Beth said. "Friends will use it to assist us with programming this year, something that will benefit everyone at the library.
Located at 238 E. Alder St., the library is open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday-Tuesday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, according to its website.
