Pioneer United Methodist offers free soup Mondays

WALLA WALLA - Pioneer Kitchen at Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St., is serving a free soup lunch every Monday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the downstairs dining room.

Enter the church through the lobby entrance off the parking lot on East Birch Street at the corner of Colville and Birch streets. Signs will be posted.

Six teams are cooking a variety of hearty soup recipes.

Soup, buttered bread and coffee are offered to anyone who wishes to enjoy a hot lunch and a break from a cold winter day.

Walla Walla Healing Rooms to be open for prayer Tuesday

WALLA WALLA - The Walla Walla Healing Rooms will be open for prayer at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Christian Center, 49 Wallula Ave., Suite A.

St. Paul's Episcopal to host First Thursday Concert

WALLA WALLA - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St., will host 2012's first First Thursday concert from 12:15-12:50 p.m. Thursday.

Debra Bakland will play piano, Lyn Ritz will play violin and viola and Amy Dodds will play violin.

Pieces by Mozart, Beach, Clarke and Tchaikovsky will be featured.

Donations go to the Blue Mountain Chapter, American Red Cross.

English, Spanish Masses offered at St. Francis

MILTON-FREEWATER - St. Francis Catholic Church, 925 Vining St., will hold Mass in Spanish on Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m.; and in English at 6 p.m..

On Sundays, Mass is at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in Spanish; and 10:30 a.m. in English.

Beth Moore DVD Bible study at SonBridge begins Jan. 11

COLLEGE PLACE - SonBridge Community Center, 1200 S.E. 12th St., will present a women's DVD Bible study entitled "Living Beyond Yourself" by Christian author and speaker Beth Moore. Classes are noon-1 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 11-March 14. Participants may start at any time during the series. For information, Call 509-540-5457.
