Members of the Touchet School Board are Sandra Bradley, Robert Schaeffer, Mandy Thompson, Michael McCubbins and Darren Goble. With McCubbins absent Thursday the board:

• BOARD RECOGNITION: Honored school board members for School Board Recognition Month with refreshments and governor's proclamation.

• CONSENT AGENDA: Approved payroll of $212,271, general fund warrant totaling $74,815, and ASB fund warrant totaling $2,835. Unanimous.

• ENROLLMENT: Learned enrollment remains stable, but is a couple of students below the number the budget is based on.

• FINANCES: Learned the district is on track for budgeted expenditures and revenue.

• BUDGET: Discussed process for setting 2012 budget. Board members must establish a target enrollment number, school officials are waiting for funding decisions from the legislature before proceeding.

• POLICY: Held first reading on policy related to special education. Unanimous.

• MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS: Decided to have middle school softball and baseball programs. Unanimous.

• TRIP: Approved an AP biology spring field trip to the Oregon Coast. Unanimous.

• NEW CLUBS: Approved new clubs recommended by the Associated Student Body. The clubs are the Special Ed Club and the AP Science Club. Unanimous.

• CLOSED SESSION: Met in executive session for bargaining with classified employees.
