Suspects sought in break-ins at Walla Walla businesses

The Bull Pen and Reflections Salon reported similar break-ins Wednesday.

WALLA WALLA -- City police are looking for a suspect who broke into two local businesses and may be sporting a new hand wound.

Break-ins at the Bull Pen and Reflections Salon took place in the Eastgate neighborhood either Tuesday night or early this morning, said city police Sgt. Matt Wood.

In both instances, entry was gained through windows broken out in the burglaries.

Officers responding this morning around 9 a.m. to Reflections Salon, 310 N. Roosevelt St., believed they heard movement inside the building at the time they arrived. Backup was called in for a search of the property that ultimately proved to be empty, said Sgt. Dennis McKee.

Towels, a large garbage can and a small amount of cash were reported stolen from that business.

The call followed a similar one at 4:50 a.m. at the Bull Pen, a barber shop at 2015 Isaccs Ave. It was unclear whether anything had been stolen during that burglary.

Blood was found at both scenes, leading police to believe the suspect or suspects received a cut in the process.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Department at 527-4434 or dispatch at 527-1962.
