ATHENA - Two Weston-McEwen volleyball players on Wednesday signed to play at Walla Walla Community College.

Tiffany Cain and Renee Baumann will both suit up in black and gold next year after leading the TigerScots to a Class 2A state championship last season.

Cain has a 3.78 GPA and is interested in medicine.

Baumann has a 4.20 GPA and wants to study pre-veterinary.

Walla Walla head coach Tim Toon is pleased to have the pair.

"Renee is a complete package," Toon said of the four-year varsity athlete at W-M. "She is very quick on the court, pounds the ball and is very aggressive."

He also sees potential for Cain.

"On the court, Tiffany is a smart net player and knows how to hit around a block," he said. "In the classroom, she also works very hard to be successful."
